Environment and Working Safety with the ES&H programme: Environment, Safety and Health
Lowara and Vogel Pumpen always paid the utmost attention to the aspects regarding health and safety of their workers, together one of the most important principles outlined in the "Value Charter", the respect for environment and persons. To reach these goals, we recognise the great importance of safety working programmes requiring safe machinery and suitable personal protection for workers.
Respect means also protecting environment surrounding us: for this reason, Lowara and Vogel Pumpen have always been actively involved in monitoring industrial waste and emissions of gas deriving from production cycles, into atmosphere. In this respect, in its Montecchio factory, a new area for storing dangerous waste has been built; this project obtained the approval of ITT INDUSTRIES senior Management.
Lowara and Vogel Pumpen are committed to Safety not only in compliance with current related norms, but also putting in place internal rules and procedures globally complied with by all companies part of the ITT INDUSTRIES group.
Our Prevention and protection Service recently collaborated to the design of a fire-fighting system for our new distribution centre in Montecchio Maggiore. The system comprises water-based sprinklers and extinguishers and smoke detectors, and complies with the toughest Italian and American Standards (NFPA).
